Find Woodward County Released Inmates

Woodward County released inmates are confirmed through the record held by the system that last had custody. To search for Woodward County released inmates, first decide whether the person was in the county jail, an Oklahoma prison, or federal or immigration custody. Woodward County released inmates may leave a live custody view after discharge, while a transfer can look much the same from outside. The jail record, court event, corrections file, and notification system each answer a different part of the release question.

Understanding Woodward County Releases

A Woodward County release record answers when and how custody at one facility ended. It does not answer every later-status question. A person can leave the county jail for the community, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, another jail, federal custody, ICE, treatment, court, or a medical setting. Transfer ends the first facility’s control but continues custody elsewhere. Escape and death can also close a jail-register entry without creating a lawful community release.

Woodward County Jail is the main adult detention point. Its official page publishes jail policies and a telephone number but no online roster. When someone is not there, keep four possibilities open: community release, transfer, a mistaken identity match, or a protected status. Call 580-256-3264 ext. 2 for present physical custody. Then request the discharge entry for durable proof. A court docket can explain the order behind the event, while the receiving or supervising system explains what came next.

Release
A facility records the end of custody with a stated manner.
Discharge
The recorded close of a custody or supervision episode.
Time served
A sentence is satisfied through credited custody time.
Detainer
A hold or request that may send a person to another authority.
Expungement
A court process that can seal eligible records under Oklahoma law.

Woodward County Release Types

The release label controls the next search. Bond or own-recognizance release may return someone to the community after processing. Dismissal, a court order, time served, or sentence completion can do the same. Parole is conditional release from a prison term and may involve ODOC supervision. Probation can follow a suspended or deferred sentence and does not prove that a prison release occurred.

Bond or court order
Release is authorized, subject to final jail processing and holds; verify with the discharge entry and court docket.
Time served or completion
The recorded jail sentence has been satisfied; check the register, judgment, and any sheriff return.
Transfer to ODOC
County custody ends while state custody begins; follow the ODOC lookup and movement record.
Federal or ICE pickup
Another sovereign receives the person; use BOP, ICE, USMS, or federal court as applicable.
Parole
Prison custody may end conditionally after release steps; check ODOC, PPB results, VINE, and supervision records.

A favorable parole vote or a projected release date is not an actual discharge. Nor is a missing jail result. The physical event must be checked with the facility or agency that processed it.

Woodward County Release Record Fields

A narrow request should identify the person and booking, then name the fields needed. Oklahoma law makes certain jail-register facts available if kept. Other details may not exist or may be lawfully redacted. The most useful record ties the custody event to the committing authority and to the agency that received the person, if any.

FieldWhat it shows
Name, date of birth, descriptionHelps distinguish people with similar names.
Booking number and booking dateIdentifies one Woodward County custody episode.
Cause and authority of commitmentPoints to the arresting body and correct court.
Release date and timeMarks when discharge was entered, if the precise time is kept.
Manner of dischargeSeparates release, transfer, escape, and other outcomes.
Bond or liberating-order referenceLinks the jail event to its legal authority.
Receiving agency or destinationShows where custody continued after transfer.
Booking photographMay tie an image to the booking, but access is not guaranteed.

A court docket may add case number, charges, filed events, bond entries, judgment, custody credits, warrants, revocations, dismissals, and costs. Those fields explain judicial action. They ordinarily do not prove the exact minute the jail finished processing release.

Request Woodward County Release Records

Woodward County posts no dedicated jail-record form, local copy-fee table, electronic-delivery promise, or fixed turnaround. Contact the Woodward County Sheriff’s Office at 1600 Main Street, Suite 1, Woodward, OK 73801. The jail line is 580-256-3264 ext. 2, administration is ext. 3, fax is 580-254-6815, and office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The published email is sheriff@woodwardcounty.org. Call first to confirm the current request method and records custodian.

  1. Give the full legal name, date of birth if known, approximate booking dates, case number, and booking number.
  2. Request the booking sheet, jail-register discharge entry, date and manner of discharge, and liberating-order or bond reference.
  3. Ask for the receiving agency and destination if the person was transferred.
  4. Request an existing booking photo only if needed, while allowing the custodian to apply current law.
  5. Ask for an estimate before work begins and request existing electronic copies when available.
  6. For withheld material, ask for the exact legal basis and any separable public portion.

Section 51 O.S. §24A.5 uses “prompt, reasonable access,” not a universal number of days. Ordinary copies of standard pages are capped at $0.25 per page, while certified copies are capped at $1 per page unless another law sets a rate. Search fees and advance payment apply only in circumstances set by the statute. No local Woodward County discharge-record price has been published.

Woodward Release Law and Access

The Oklahoma Open Records Act appears at 51 O.S. §§24A.1 and following. Section 24A.8(A)(8) is central because it addresses jail registers, including name, date and cause of commitment, committing authority, description, and date or manner of discharge or escape, if kept. Section 57-62 separately requires regular filing of instruments that commit or liberate prisoners. Together, those laws support a focused request for the jail entry and the paper behind release.

They do not open every internal field. Juvenile matters, sealed and expunged cases, medical details, victim data, security information, and other protected material may be withheld. Ask the custodian to separate public information and cite the authority for a denial. Oklahoma expungement eligibility is category-specific under 22 O.S. §18, and §19 sets out petition, notice, and hearing steps. A brief release record cannot establish eligibility.

Record principle: The jail entry proves the facility event, the court proves legal authority, and the next system resolves transfer or supervision.

Getting Home After Woodward Release

Woodward County publishes no jail transport program, pickup zone, waiting area, exit door, or release timetable. The city comprehensive plan identifies the BNSF line as freight rather than passenger rail. City code regulates taxis and app-arranged rides, but it does not establish a county jail pickup service. Confirm the physical release and lawful pickup point with jail staff before sending a ride.

A bond receipt or judge’s order begins or authorizes processing. It does not show that document review, classification, detainer checks, and physical exit are finished. The official jail site gives no estimate for these steps. Ask whether discharge is complete, where pickup may occur, and whether property has been returned. No county property-return procedure is published, so ID, appointment, and release-form requirements must be confirmed by phone.

Woodward Bond Orders and Release

The City of Woodward publishes a detailed municipal bail schedule, with a code rule for offenses not listed. That schedule applies to Municipal Court violations. It does not set bond for District Court felonies or state misdemeanors. A city police arrest may also be booked at Woodward County Jail, which means the police agency, jail custodian, and deciding court may be three distinct records sources.

Posting bond or receiving a release order is not proof of discharge. Use the city or district docket for authority, then the county jail record for the event. Ask for the case number, committing authority, bond reference, and release date and manner. When a hold from another agency exists, the person may transfer instead of entering the community.

Woodward Juvenile Release Records Differ

The Northwest Oklahoma Juvenile Detention Center is a regional Woodward facility, but it does not belong in an adult released-inmate workflow. Official state material identifies service for youths ages 12 through 18. Earlier state plans discussed eight contracted beds and later ten licensed beds with eight contracted, plus overflow arrangements. Those figures describe regional capacity, not adult release totals or a public release list.

Juvenile records are generally confidential except as law or court order permits. An adult inmate search should not be used for a child, and no public result should be promised. A parent, lawyer, case manager, juvenile court, or authorized agency should work through the facility and the assigned case process.

Find Woodward County Released Inmates

Start with the last known custodian. Do not search ODOC first for a short county booking unless transfer to state prison is plausible. For Woodward County Jail, a phone check can answer present custody quickly, while the jail-register discharge entry preserves the event. For an Oklahoma prisoner, use ODOC and Closed Records. Federal sentences belong with BOP. Immigration custody belongs with ICE. Supervision questions go to the agency that administers parole or probation.

  1. Collect full name, date of birth, booking or DOC number, arresting agency, and case number.
  2. Call the last known facility and ask whether the person is physically present, released, or transferred.
  3. Get the effective date, time if kept, manner of discharge, and receiving agency.
  4. Read the correct court chronology for bond, dismissal, sentence, time served, warrant, or revocation.
  5. Search the receiving or supervising system using stable identifiers, not name alone.
  6. Request the written discharge or movement record when exact proof matters.

A released person usually leaves a live custody view. In Woodward County, however, no official public roster exists. A web no-match is therefore even less informative. The Woodward County 24-Hour Release List process explains how to define and request a same-day set.

No Woodward County Release Feed

The official jail site publishes rules for property, commissary, clothing, mail, telephone, and visitation, but no inmate names. The sheriff page also offers no booking gallery, release filter, 24-hour list, 72-hour list, or app. Unaffiliated sites using “official” language are not evidence of a Woodward County feed. The correct public statement is that none was found as of July 31, 2026.

For a recent-release interval, ask the jail for entries with a discharge timestamp inside exact local start and end times. Ask whether the database uses a rolling period or calendar dates and whether its timestamp is a system entry or physical exit. A reply listing only names and dates may still need follow-up to separate community release, transfer, escape, and death.

Search ODOC Woodward Release Records

The official ODOC Offender Lookup is for state custody and ODOC supervision. It is not the main record for a county-only stay. Search DOC number first. If it is unknown, use first name, last name, and date of birth, then cautiously use the alias and similar-sounding-name options. Match the DOC number, birth date, county, case, offense, and custody clues before selecting a record.

Search fieldTypeUse
DOC NumberIdentifierBest first field because names can collide.
First and Last NameTextUseful when no DOC number is known.
Date of BirthDateHelps distinguish similar names.
Include alias dataCheckboxUse only when a supported alias is known.
Similar sounding namesCheckboxBroadens results and requires careful matching.

The portal describes its data as abbreviated and warns about issues with a changed data source. ODOC also says an inmate’s release date is confidential absent a legitimate judicial or law-enforcement-type need and describes the date as tentative. Do not promise that a public detail page always shows an exact projected or discharged field.

The portal’s official warning and search form can be reviewed at the same ODOC source:

The warning is why a public match is a lead, not a complete discharge file. For a finished state custody or supervision episode, contact ODOC Closed Records at 405-425-2691 or use the official discharge email, osordischarges@doc.ok.gov. Inactive ODOC records are digitized and kept indefinitely under policy OP-060212.

Woodward Court and Release Proof

Three record layers have separate roles. The jail register proves custody and discharge at Woodward County Jail. District Court records state criminal cases. Municipal Court records city-code cases. Under the city-county custody arrangement, a Woodward Police arrest may be held at the county jail even when the legal matter belongs in Municipal Court. Ask for the committing authority and case number before choosing a court.

The Woodward County Court Clerk is at 1600 Main Street, Suite 4, Woodward, OK 73801, with phone 580-256-3413 and hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Its official page links ODCR and OSCN. Search the party and case number, then read events for bond, commitment, dismissal, judgment, sentence, custody credit, time served, sheriff return, warrant, and revocation. A closed court date is not necessarily the custody end date.

The official Court Clerk page shows the permanent-record and search routes:

A certified court paper can prove an order. The sheriff’s register remains the better source for physical release time. An official OSCN Woodward example records 133 days served, 17 good-time days, and “D RELEASED” on a 150-day sentence. Later warrants and a revocation filing in the same case show why an old release event does not define present status.

Woodward Parole and Release Status

ODOC supervises Oklahoma parolees and many probationers. Parole is conditional release from a prison term. Probation can follow a deferred or suspended sentence and may not follow prison. The Woodward office at 1104 Hillcrest serves Woodward and six neighboring counties, so someone convicted or imprisoned elsewhere may report locally because of residence and assignment.

The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board makes parole decisions, while ODOC handles custody and supervision. “Parole To Street” is favorable board action, but release can still depend on conditions, paperwork, placement, and detainer checks. “Parole To Detainer or Void” signals that another hold may control. Confirm later status with ODOC, the facility, or OK VINE. An older grant cannot rule out a later revocation or return to custody.

OK VINE offers custody checks and alerts by web or 1-877-654-8463. It can report release, transfer, escape, apprehension, or death from participating sources. Read the event label and match the correct agency. A VINE change is useful notice, but it is not a full court disposition or permanent release archive.

Woodward Federal Release Checks

No BOP prison or ICE detention center was found in Woodward County. Federal or immigration custody can still follow a county-jail transfer. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal prisoners and releases from 1982 onward. Search by register number or exact biographical details. A past release date with no facility, or “RELEASED,” means the person is no longer in BOP custody. It does not rule out supervision or custody by another system.

ICE’s locator covers current adult immigration custody and has a more limited released-person horizon. Search by nine-digit A-number and country of birth, or exact name, date of birth, and country of birth. Minors are excluded. A county entry saying “release to ICE” is a transfer out of county custody, not community release. USMS has no equivalent public historical name locator, so federal court, facility records, USMS information channels, later BOP data, and ICE may need to be reconciled.

Closed Prison Is Not Release

William S. Key Correctional Center at Fort Supply closed in 2021. ODOC transferred about 1,000 prisoners to other minimum-security facilities, and later material reported relocation complete that November. Closure did not create a mass community release. Old directories and articles can still place a person at Key, which makes the stale-facility problem unusually important in Woodward County.

Trace a former Key prisoner through the statewide ODOC record, later institution, Closed Records, PPB results, and supervision channels as appropriate. A movement history may preserve Key as a prior location. The later institution or ODOC owns the actual discharge record.

City Arrests, County Releases

A 2026 City Commission agenda documents an interlocal inmate-custody arrangement with Woodward County. No separate city jail release feed was found. Woodward Police may make the arrest, Woodward County Jail may hold and release the person, and either Municipal Court or District Court may control the case based on the offense.

Follow both tracks. City police records can document the arrest or incident. The county jail records the physical discharge. Municipal Court handles city-code matters, while District Court handles state-law prosecutions. Never infer the legal forum only from the arresting agency. The case number and committing authority resolve the split.

Woodward Release Systems Compared

Each system has a narrow scope. Combining them prevents a transfer, projected date, old photo, or missing result from being called a confirmed release.

QuestionFirst sourceWhat not to infer
Did the person leave Woodward County Jail?Jail phone and discharge registerA web no-match, because no official roster exists
Did a court authorize the event?ODCR, OSCN, or Municipal CourtThe order time is the physical exit time
Did an Oklahoma prisoner discharge?ODOC and Closed RecordsA PRD or board vote is an actual release
Is supervision active?ODOC lookup and P&P officeProbation proves a prior prison stay
Did federal custody end?BOP locator and federal recordsNot in BOP custody excludes all other custody
Was there an ICE transfer or release?ICE locator, ERO, and paperworkA no-match proves no immigration history

Can a court docket replace the jail record? No. It can establish the order or disposition behind release. The jail register is the better source for when and how the facility event was completed.

Woodward County Release Facilities

The local map includes an adult county jail, city arrestees housed there, a confidential juvenile route, a closed state prison, statewide ODOC systems, and federal or immigration systems. Each link names the correct custodian and release path.

A facility record should always name the custody system being left, the date and manner source, and whether later custody or supervision was checked. That discipline is the clearest way to confirm Woodward County released inmates.
